margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="211" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4aqzBaXoABs/TouVCH9T4GI/AAAAAAAAAHU/qSGqSvQ5kgk/s320/JAF+DEFENSE.jpg" width="320" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Em 06 de março de 1997, o Aeroporto Afonso Pena recebeu pela primeira vez um Boeing 747-400 presidencial.&lt;br /&gt;Tratava-se do Boeing da Comitiva Japonesa, que viria a Curitiba, em comemoração aos 100 anos da imigração japonesa ao Brasil.&lt;br /&gt;O 747-400 sobrevoou o aeroporto e iniciou uma série de procedimentos de pousos e arremetidas.&lt;br /&gt;O objetivo era testar qual cabeceira seria a mais indicada no dia da visita do Imperador Akihito.O Boeing na ocasião foi o 20-1101.&lt;br /&gt;Finalmente o jumbo pousou pela pista 33, e ficou no gate 6, durante um final de semana.&lt;br /&gt;Em 06 de junho de 1997, chegou a hora da visita oficial,&amp;nbsp; font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: 400;"&gt;Essa aeronave ficou  conhecida dos brasileiros quando da sua passagem pela Transbrasil em dezembro de  1995.&lt;br /&gt;Sua pintura era fora dos padrões, ou seja sem o inesquecível arco  íris.&lt;br /&gt;Na cauda, um símbolo parecido com um átomo nas cores vermelha, azul e  preta, fazendo o Boeing 737 estar na mira dos spotters nacionais.&lt;br /&gt;Na verdade  a aeronave era da companhia espanhola Futura e teria sido negociada&amp;nbsp; para a alta  temporada no Brasil.O PT-TDA como foi matriculado na empresa brasileira,  estaria voltando para solo tupiniquim como PT-TDC já em novembro de 1996&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: blue; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;Nessa   ocasião, o Governo Federal desapropriou a área de uma fazenda, no   município de São José dos Pinhais, de propriedade de Matias Mendes.   Dividiu-a em pequenas chácaras e ali assentou uma colônia de imigrantes   poloneses e alemães (incentivados pela política de colonização para a   agricultura), efetuando-se a ocupação no início deste século.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;Devido   à entrada do Brasil na II Guerra Mundial, o Ministério da Guerra,   através dos órgãos responsáveis pela aviação (que dariam origem ao atual   Ministério da Aeronáutica), nos anos de 1940 a 1942 efetuou um   minucioso levantamento da área dessa colônia, em função dos ventos   dominantes. A área correspondente ao antigo Aeroporto Afonso Pena foi   desapropriada para a construção das pistas de pouso, com o mesmo traçado   hoje existente.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;Em   janeiro de 1946, com a guerra terminada, a aviação civil passou a   operar efetivamente na Base Aérea Afonso Pena, moderna e recém   construída. Operavam com vôos regionais e internacionais, nesta época,   as seguintes companhias: VARIG - iniciada em 15 de janeiro de 1946 no   Aeroporto de Bacacheri, com a linha Florianópolis/Porto   Alegre/Pelotas/Jaguarão e Montevidéu; CRUZEIRO DO SUL; REAL - com vôos   regionais e Assunção, em 1955; PANAIR - Assunção em 1946; AERONAVIS   BRASIL - atendendo a linha Rio de Janeiro/Poços de Caldas e Porto   Alegre, bem como linhas internacionais.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;A   construção original do Aeroporto Afonso Pena aconteceu no período de   maio de 1944 a abril de 1945, tendo como executores o Ministério da   Aeronáutica em cooperação com o Departamento de Engenharia do Exército   Norte-Americano. A Base Aérea Afonso Pena, como era então conhecido o   Aeroporto, tinha como finalidade básica servir de ponto estratégico para   as operações aliadas durante a II Guerra Mundial. Devido ao fato de  ser  construído nos últimos meses da guerra, o Aeroporto foi pouco   utilizado, prevalecendo posteriormente o uso pela aviação civil.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;Quando   a Base Aérea passou a atender a Aviação Civil, foi construída uma   estação de passageiros que esteve em uso até 1959. Era dotada de um bar,   sala de espera, área ajardinada, além de escritório de administração e   manutenção, bomba de gasolina, caixa d'água, farol, torre de controle   (construída em madeira e com altura de 35 metros), balizamento de pista   (luz amarela), gerador de energia alternativa, além de equipamento de   rádio-transmissão-recepção.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;Em   1959 o Aeroporto Afonso Pena era o quarto aeroporto em movimento de   aeronaves, quando o Ministério da Aeronáutica precisou construir uma   nova estação de passageiros com área de 2.200 metros quadrados. Este   terminal de passageiros foi inaugurado em 05 de fevereiro de 1959,   durante o Governo de Moysés Lupion. Era então Ministro da Aeronáutica o   Brigadeiro Menescal. As obras executadas em 1959 permaneceram   inalteradas até a década de 70. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;A   partir de 1974, através da Portaria n.º 120 Gm-5, de 03 de dezembro de   1973, o Aeroporto Afonso Pena passou a ser administrado pela Empresa   Brasileira de Infra-Estrutura Aeroportuária - Infraero. Em 1977, foi   concluída a ampliação do terminal de passageiros, quadruplicando sua   capacidade de atendimento, proporcionando mais conforto aos usuários e   empresas áreas. Mesmo com todas as remodelações a ampliações efetuadas,   as obras não foram suficientes para atender à demanda crescente de   passageiros e cargas.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;Em   1991, o aeroporto contava com um déficit operacional estimado em 40%.   Começaram as obras de construção de um novo terminal de passageiros.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;O   aeroporto foi o segundo no Brasil a contar com o Sistema Integrado de   Tratamento de Informações Aeroportuárias - SITIA. Movimento de   aeronaves, informações sobre vôos, telefones internos e externos,   circuito fechado de televisão e todas as operações do novo terminal   estão interligadas, como ocorre nos aeroportos mais modernos do mundo.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;O   prédio onde funcionava o antigo terminal de passageiros foi totalmente   reformulado para se tornar um moderno terminal de carga aérea, com uma   área total de 12 mil metros quadrados.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10pt;"&gt;Com   a construção do novo terminal e o aumento da demanda de passageiros,  em  26 de junho de 1996 o Aeroporto Afonso Pena passou a ser  internacional.  Sua inauguração aconteceu no dia 26 de julho de 1996,  com a presença do  presidente Fernando Henrique e do Ministro da  Aeronáutica, Lélio Viana  Lobo e do Presidente da Infraero, Adyr da  Silva.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; diferente, nunca tinha visto em local algum.&lt;br /&gt;Era a &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;AeroUruguay&lt;/span&gt;, um logotipo que lembrava a TransBrasil.&lt;br /&gt;A aeronave pousou e foi parqueada em frente a torre de controle.&lt;br /&gt;Demora para a abertura de portas, e eis que quando abre, uma novidade.&lt;br /&gt;Não era um voo com turistas e nem algum artista, mas sim uma quantidade expressiva de novilhas.Isso mesmo gado nobre, estavam descendo por uma rampa que foi instalado&lt;br /&gt;na porta cargueira do DC-8-55.&lt;br /&gt;Durante a permanencia da aeronave em solo, um forte cheiro se instalou nas proximidades.&lt;br /&gt;Pessoas ligadas aquela época informaram que dentro do DC-8 a coisa ficou muito ruim ao olfato de quem por alí estava trabalhando.&lt;br /&gt;Por muito tempo o chão em frente da torre ficou tingido de escuro, em virtude do feno espalhado.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A aeronave de matrícula &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;CX-BLN&lt;/span&gt; Foi extraída das páginas do Guia Panrotas, edição de fevereiro de 1988. Ela nos mostra como eram os horários na rota mais movimentada do nosso aeroporto, a ligação Curitiba-São Paulo. &lt;/span&gt;  &lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 153);"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Os vôos para Congonhas eram operados no sistema chamado à epoca de VDC, ou Vôos Diretos ao Centro. Naquela época, o aeroporto de Congonhas vivia uma fase de declínio acentuado no seu movimento, visto que 3 anos antes o aeroporto de Guarulhos havia sido inaugurado. Além dos vôos internacionais, Guarulhos passou a concentrar toda a malha doméstica. Ao aeroporto central de São Paulo ficaram reservados os vôos da Ponte Aérea Rio-São Paulo e os vôos regionais. Para fomentar a utilizaçao de Congonhas, o DAC concedeu às regionais TAM, Rio-Sul e Votec (posteriormente Brasil Central) o direito de explorar um número restrito de vôos ligando Congonhas a Curitiba e Belo Horizonte (Pampulha). Eram três vôos diários, um de cada companhia, operados com Fokker F27. Vinte anos depois, temos 19 vôos diários operados com Boeing 737 e Airbus A319/A320.&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 153);"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A ligação Curitiba-São Paulo(Guarulhos) era a mais movimentada naquela época no Afonso Pena, pois o novo aeroporto de internacional de São Paulo era o grande hub do país. Era o que eu chamava a "época do barulho", pois dos 12 vôos diários nessa rota, apenas um era servido pelo silencioso (para os padrões da época) Boeing 737-300. Os demais 11 vôos era servidos pelos saudosos e barulhentos Boeing 737-200 e 727-100. Tínhamos 5 vôos diários pela Varig, 4 pela Transbrasil, 2 pela Vasp e 1 pela Cruzeiro. Como Varig e Cruzeiro eram na prática a mesma empresa, era comum comprar bilhete de uma e viajar na aeronave da outra. A sua popularidade e carisma junto aos passageiros, pilotos e tripulantes foram conquistadas principalmente devido aos 16 anos em que serviu como aeronave exclusiva na operação da Ponte Aérea Rio-São Paulo. Entre março de 1975 e janeiro de 1992, Electra foi sinônimo de Ponte Aérea.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;O que poucos sabem é que o Electra tiveram uma longa vida pregressa na Varig antes do seu uso na Ponte. O primeiro Lockheed L-188A foi recebido pela companhia gaúcha em 1962, onde foi empregado inicialmente em rotas internacionais. Apesar do seu porte relativamente pequeno, o robusto turboélice serviu rotas de prestígio da Varig, como Rio-Buenos Aires, Rio-Nova-York e Rio- Lisboa, estas duas últimas operadas com várias escalas. Com o advento dos jatos na frota da Varig, o Electra ficou relegado às rotas domésticas.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Por falta de registros históricos, não tenho como precisar em que época e em quais rotas o Electra operou no Aeroporto Afonso Pena. Pelo que sei, havia vôos operados com o Electra para São Paulo, Porto Alegre e Joinville. type='text'>CRUZEIRO - O AZUL QUE ERA LINDO</title><content type='html'>Quem não se recorda da Cruzeiro do Sul ?&lt;br /&gt;Adorava ficar no saguão, tomando vento na cara para esperar os saudosos&lt;br /&gt;vôos 144/145 ou então o 168/169 procedente de Fóz.&lt;br /&gt;A Cruzeiro era simplesmente linda, suas cores em tons de azul eram demais.&lt;br /&gt;Seus 727-100 pousavam e decolavam com toda maestria, combinava mesmo aquele&lt;br /&gt;estilo nos Boeings.&lt;br /&gt;Tive o prazer de voar nos 727 e 737.&lt;br /&gt;Não esqueço jamais cada vôo que eu fiz a bordo dos jatões.&lt;br /&gt;PP-CJG foi o pioneiro, depois foi uma sucessão no PP-CJI, e PP-CJE.&lt;br /&gt;Ultimamente, já como Varig, voei no saudoso PP-CJO.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a type='text'>INAUGURAÇÃO DO AFONSO PENA</title><content type='html'>&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Em 23 de janeiro de 1946, as autoridades da época, determinaram a interdição do campo de pouso do Bacacheri, devido as péssimas condições em que se encontravam, em virtude das chuvas que caíram na época.&lt;br /&gt;Visando à segurança do tráfego aéreo, os aviões que transitavam por Curitiba, foram descer na Base Aérea de Afonso Pena, inaugurada não oficialmente.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A data que entrou em funcionamento o futuro Aeroporto Afonso Pena como pista para pouso e decolagem para aviões regulares, foi no dia 23 de janeiro de 1946, portanto há 62 anos .&lt;br /&gt;Um dos primeiros transtornos ocasionados na época foram os carros de aluguel(táxi).&lt;br /&gt;Os primeiros passageiros eram obrigados a pagar um valor exorbitante na época, pelo transporte de Curitiba a São José dos Pinhais.&lt;br /&gt;A foto anexa mostra a primeira torre de controle do aeroporto. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div
